Northside Hospital Sleep Disorders Centers have maintained continuous accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) for 25 years. Northside is one of only 25 programs nationwide to reach this milestone in 2025.
“This milestone reflects the dedication of our team to providing expert, evidence-based care for patients dealing with a wide range of sleep issues,” said John Russell, system manager of Northside Hospital Sleep Disorders Centers.
“Our accreditation isn’t just about meeting standards — it’s about making a real difference in people’s lives every night.”
AASM accreditation is considered the gold standard in sleep care, requiring rigorous standards in patient care, clinical staffing, equipment and quality improvement.
Northside’s Sleep Disorders Centers, led by Dr. Scott M. Leibowitz, offer comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for conditions such as sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy and restless legs syndrome. Centers are located in Atlanta, Canton, Cumming, Gainesville and Roswell.
