There are hundreds of corn mazes in the U.S., but only one that shouts out Northside Hospital and its health care heroes.
Uncle Shuck’s Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch is open for the fall in Dawsonville. The 15-acre corn maze is one of the 10 best in the nation, according to a recent USA Today survey. It’s the only Georgia attraction to make the list.
This year, the Uncle Shuck’s maze is cut in the shape of the state of Georgia and includes the Northside Hospital logo and a stethoscope. The maze features about 6 miles of trails and can take between 30 minutes to two hours to complete — a great chance to get some exercise while having fall family fun.
Other fall activities in the area include:
- The North Georgia State Fair, Sept. 18-28 at Jim R. Miller Park, Marietta
- The 42nd annual Duluth Fall Festival, Sept. 27-28 in downtown Duluth
- Cumming Country Fair & Festival, Oct. 2-12 at the Cumming Fairgrounds
- Chalktoberfest Chalk and Beer Festival, Oct. 11-12 on the Marietta Square
