Patients facing late-stage cancer or other terminal diagnosis at Northside have a chance to create memories for their loved ones thanks to the work of a local nonprofit.
The Momento Foundation, based in Dunwoody, provides photography services and grief resources for families facing loss in the Atlanta area. It is one of the many nonprofits Northside Hospital supports each year.
“Northside Hospital has supported us so that we can show up for the community facing a stage 4 metastatic cancer or terminal diagnosis of any kind to preserve memories for their loved ones,” Ashley Jones, founder and executive director of the Momento Foundation, said.
“Not only do we provide a wonderful portrait session experience at no cost to the family, but we give them incredible, beautiful prints of their photographs in a way that they can share their stories, connect with loved ones and pass their legacy on to future generations.”
Jones said the Momento Foundation also supports families with an online community where people can connect to share stories of hope, inspiration and healing.
