Ginger has worked in the Bariatric field for 15 years and is a Certified Bariatric Nurse. The Northside Atlanta group meetings support patients ranging from those considering bariatric surgery to patients that are years out from bariatric surgery. Ginger is also a bariatric patient as she had a gastric bypass procedure in March of 2001 at Northside Hospital. Ginger believes ongoing education and support is very important for patients. The group topics include nutrition, mental health, fitness, wellness and mindfulness to name a few. The meetings will also celebrate accomplishments and steps towards healthy living such as participation in marathons and 5K’s.
