Research Excellence

Led by Cindy L. Grines MD, MSCAI, FACC, Chief Scientific Officer, Northside Hospital Heart Institute participates in clinical trials (medical research studies) to improve how we prevent, diagnose, and treat heart disease. These trials help advance medical treatment while giving participating patients an opportunity to receive novel therapies that otherwise would not currently be available.

"Research allows physicians to interact with experts across the globe, and to be among the first to know about new breakthroughs, rather than waiting years for written quidelines to be updated. It is essential for continuing to provide up to date and cutting edge CV care to our patients. Participation in research trials has been proven to improve patient outcomes."
